Evening Attar

Exotic fragrances inspired this quilt. It reminds me, I must plant some Moonflower seeds - have you ever grown this vine?  It is a relative of the morning glory and it has huge white blossoms that open in the evening and exude this amazing scent. You can almost watch it unfurl at night. The hawk moths are drawn to it and pollinate it (if you are lucky).

Black Bottom Pool

Tudor's Pool

I loved this estate I use to work at.  I fantasized swimming in the black bottom pool, but I never did.  Just the thought would keep me cool.  I remember once I was at a different property and the owner drove by in a sports car and yelled out to the world that I was the best darn gardener in the world. He was so happy that day -  loving life.  Fond memories, rest in peace Joel!

Tudor Motif

Tudor Motif

I get designs from the darnedest of places. This motif came from a stone carving above the front door of the Tudor I posted yesterday.

The Tudor

Before

After

One of my favorite estates had a "overgrown" look and I just loved it. then the owner died and the property was sold off to a contractor who sanitized it and then sold it again.  Which do you think looks better?

Rippled Stripes

I love reflections and this one really blew me away.  it was a wrought iron fence in one of the pools I work around.  I fell into this pool once - just tripped and splash.  The owner ran down with a towel - hah!  Who needed a towel? I was usually drenched by midday, so I was a little early that day! I shook it off and kept working - my boots were a bit damp all day long!

Sunlit Wall

Sunlit Wall

I wouldn't have even noticed this wall if it was just sun lit, but the shimmering shadow made it sing!
